Though rarely applicable in most desktop applications, converting MP3 to WMV files may be necessary to solve some file compatibility issues. Converting your MP3 files into WMV format is possible, and simple, with the help of free audio/video encoding and rendering software available online.

Step 1

Download a copy of SUPER 2012 to your computer from a secure website. Install the program, then open it.

Step 2

Locate the MP3 files on your computer that you wish to convert into WMV files. Drag and drop a single MP3 into the large gray field at the bottom of SUPER, or select multiple MP3 files and add them.

Step 3

Notice the three steps at the top of SUPER. Set option one, the "Output Container," as "WMV"--the other two options will default to Windows Media formats.

Step 4

On your keyboard, press and hold the "Ctrl-T" keys to launch SUPER's file-saving menu. Use the menu to browse the files and folders on your computer for a location to store your converted files. Click "Save Changes" once you've selected a folder.

Step 5

Back in SUPER's main menu, click the "Encode" button at the bottom of the program to begin the conversion process.

Warning

  • Your WMV file will play as an audio-only file.
