How to Convert MOV to AVI on a Vista Computer

MOV is a file format developed by Apple Computers for storing video information. All trailers on the Apple video site are encoded in MOV format. AVI is a container video format than can hold multiple audio and video streams, as well as subtitles. AVI is supported on many portable devices.

Step 1

Download and install the Xilisoft MOV converter. It is a video converter that can convert many different formats to .MOV and back. Drag and drop your .MOV video into the main window and select .AVI in the profile drop-down menu. Select an output destination and click the green arrow convert button in the top menu bar.

Step 2

Use the Any Video Converter. Download and install the free video converter. It can convert between almost any format. Import your .MOV video and select AVI under the profile settings. Select an output location and click "Start."

Step 3

download and install OJOSoft. It is an avi video converter that can accept almost any video format. Click "To AVI" in the top menu bar and browse to your MOV video to import it. Select an output location and click "Convert."
