How to Convert Flash Videos Into AVI Files

Because of their small file size and web compatibility, flash files have become are a common used way to share video content. If you want to play a flash video through a desktop media player, you may need to convert it a different format. The AVI format, which stands for Audio Video Interweave, is compatible with a variety of PC programs, and you can easily convert flash files to AVI files using free online tools.

Zamzar Instructions

Step 1

Go to the Zamzar homepage. See Resources below.

Step 2

Click on the "Choose File" button and navigate to the location of the flash video file you want to convert to the AVI format.

Step 3

Click on the flash file and then hit the "Choose" or "OK" button.

Step 4

Open the "Convert file to" drop-down menu and select "avi" from the list of options.

Step 5

Enter your email address in the appropriate field and click "Convert" to begin the conversion process. When it is done, you will receive an email with a link to the converted AVI file.
