Google Video is a video service similar to YouTube. A compatible video file format is necessary to upload a file to Google Video. The service accepts only AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP4, MOD, RA, RAM, MOV, WMV and ASF file types. If the video file is in a format other than one listed, convert it with a video conversion utility application. Several free, trial or shareware video conversion programs are available for download.
Convert Video File
Step 1
Download and install the video conversion utility program, if needed. Xilisoft is used for this demonstration. Open the video conversion application.
Step 2
Click "File," and then click "Add File(s)" from the top toolbar. Navigate to the movie file to convert.
Step 3
Select the file(s) to add to the video converter application. Movie files to be converted may be any video file type compatible with the application, including the most common types of MP4, MOV, WMV, FLV and 3GP. Remember, FLV and 3GP file types are not compatible with Google Video.
Step 4
Select one of the Google-compatible video file types for the output file type.
Step 5
Select the output folder where the new video file will be converted and saved.
Step 6
Click the "Convert" button to convert and save the new video file. The progress indicator will display a notice when the program has finished the conversion process.
Step 7
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the output folder. Verify the new video file by opening it and playing it in a compatible video player.

Step 5
Click the "Login..." button and enter the appropriate Google account username and password.
Step 6
Upload video files by clicking the "Add..." button. Navigate to the video file(s) to upload from the hard drive.
Step 7
Check the box to certify that you are the owner of any copyrights and that you are not uploading undesirable material once all video files to be uploaded are listed in the Google Video Uploader.
Step 8
Click "Upload Now" to begin the upload process. A progress indicator will show when the file(s) are finished uploading. When the success message appears, the video files are successfully uploaded to Google Video.
