The Xbox 360 is a popular gaming console produced by Microsoft. One feature on the Xbox 360 is the ability to connect to the internet and play games online with other players. The Xbox 360 S model has a built in Wi-Fi adapter that allows you to wirelessly connect to any available wireless network connection that you know the password for. If your apartment complex has a wireless server and you know the password, you can easily connect your Xbox 360, as long as you are in range.

Step 1

Press the center button an Xbox 360 controller synced to your Xbox 360 to turn the console and controller on. Your Xbox 360 will enter the dashboard screen.

Step 2

Scroll up using the directional control pad on your controller and select "My Xbox."

Step 3

Scroll to the right using the directional control pad on your controller and select "System Settings." Press "A."

Step 4

Scroll down and select "Network Settings." Press "A." The "Available Networks" screen will appear, showing a list of wireless networks in range.

Step 5

Scroll through the list of wireless networks and select the wireless network for your apartment complex. A padlock symbol signifies that the network is password protected; you will need the network key for any password protected network in order to login and use that wireless connection. Press "A" to select the appropriate wireless connection.

Step 6

Input the apartment complex's wireless network key using the numbers and letters on screen. Select "Done" and press "A." Allow the system to connect to the wireless server.

Step 7

Select "Continue" and press "A" when the system successfully connects to the wireless server.

Tip

  • If you can't connect to the wireless server in your apartment, verify that you are using the correct password.
  • Passwords are case sensitive.
  • If your apartment's wireless server doesn't appear on the "Available Networks" screen scroll over and select "Advanced Options." Enter the name of your apartments wireless server to search for it.
