How to Connect a Wireless USB Adapter to a BluRay Panasonic DVD Player

by Alexander Poirier

Many Blu-Ray players also come equipped with video streaming and firmware update capabilities that require an Internet connection to use. Panasonic makes a wireless USB adapter for its line of Blu-Ray players that allows the player to connect to a wireless Internet access point, thus eliminating the cables usually needed to connect its devices without a built-in wireless receiver to the Internet. If you wish to connect a wireless USB adapter to your Panasonic Blu-Ray player, you can do so in a few simple steps.

Step 1

Turn on the TV and set it to the input used with the Blu-Ray player. Most Blu-Ray players use the HDMI input standard. Turn on the Blu-Ray player.

Step 2

Plug the wireless USB adapter into one of the Blu-Ray player's USB ports. The Blu-Ray player and wireless USB adapter will begin the setup process automatically.

Step 3

Use the Blu-Ray player's remote to select your home's wireless access point when prompted on the TV screen. Enter the wireless access point's security code, if necessary, and click the "Connect" option to connect to the access point.

Tip

  • The Panasonic wireless USB adapter only works with some Panasonic Blu-Ray player models (see Resources).
