The Mac Mini is a small desktop computer that runs the Mac OS and includes a large number of user friendly features including the option to connect to the local network and Internet over a wireless connection. The Mac Mini makes wireless networking so simple that users accustomed to using a PC may have trouble figuring out how to connect. Use a simple three-step procedure to connect to the Internet over wireless on a Mac Mini.
Step 1
Click once on the wireless network icon at the top of the Mac Mini desktop. Click the "Airport On" menu item.
Step 2
Click the wireless network name (SSID) of the wireless network to which you wish to connect.
Step 3
Type the pass phrase for the wireless network if prompted into the window that appears, then press the "Enter" key.
Step 4
Open a Web browser such as the Mac default Safari Web browser, and attempt to access a website on the Internet to verify Internet connectivity.
