Some newer vehicles provide a built-in connection for listening to your iPod through the car stereo speakers. If your car doesn't provide such a port, use a cable to connect your iPod to the auxiliary input port of your car stereo. For vehicles that are not compatible with this cord, use a cassette adapter to enjoy your iPod audio through your auto speakers.

Step 1

Insert the cassette portion of the adapter into your auto cassette player.

Step 2

Connect the plug end into your iPod headphone jack.

Step 3

Play your iPod music as usual. The music plays through your car stereo speakers.

Tip

  • Other custom products are available, such as adapter kits that plug into your CD changer port. The specific kit you purchase is based on your vehicle.
