Checking your voice mail messages from your landline phone provides you with a sense of convenience. You will find this beneficial if you left your cellphone at home, or if your job forbids you from using cellphones. Fortunately, you have the option to check voice mail messages from your landline phone. Your mobile carrier will provide you with a special phone number to use to access your messages.

Step 1

Contact your mobile carrier. Verify with the representative that you can access your voice mail messages from a landline phone. Also ask if there's a special voice mail number to call. The number may just be your cell number. Follow the instructions in your user manual to enable the voice mail access feature or to see if you must dial a special number to access voice mail.

Step 2

Call the voice mail number from your landline phone. Press the "*" button immediately once your voice mail system greeting plays.

Step 3

Enter the personal identification number or password to access your voice mail. Press the "#" key when finished.

Step 4

Listen to the automated voice mail system’s instructions. Press the button associated with listening to your messages. You will also have options for saving them, storing them or deleting them.

Tip

  • Choose an easy to use PIN or password to check your messages.
