Your YouTube profile -- officially called your "channel" -- is a collection of your activity on the website, tracking your videos, comments and recommended videos. Your uploaded videos are the first thing visitors see when viewing your YouTube profile, so users often put their best video at the top of the page as their featured video. You can change which video appears here at any time and set it up to automatically play when a user visits your profile.

Step 1

Navigate to the YouTube website and sign in to your account.

Step 2

Click your username and choose "My Channel" from the drop-down menu.

Step 3

Click the "Edit" button next to the first video on your channel page; this is your current featured video.

Step 4

Click the "Video" you want to select as your featured video.

Step 5

Click the box next to "Automatically start playing the video once the channel loads" if you want the video to auto-play when a user visits your profile.

Step 6

Click "Apply" to change the featured video.

Tip

  • To enable the featured video setting, click "Channel Settings," click the "Tabs" tab, place a check mark in the "Featured" box and click "Done Editing."
