Facebook and Twitter are two very popular social networking sites. Facebook allows you to keep in touch with all of your friends and acquaintances, and Twitter lets you make mini-blog posts called tweets that all your friends can read. With only a Facebook application, you can link your Twitter account to your Facebook so that all of your tweets are reposted on your Facebook wall as status updates.
Step 1
Log into Facebook and search for the Twitter app.
Step 2
Click "Go to App." The Twitter app will request permission to access your Facebook profile. Click "Allow."
Step 3
Enter your Twitter username and password, and click "Allow" to connect your Twitter account to Facebook.
Step 4
Check the box next to "Facebook Profile" under "App permissions." A new window will open and the Twitter app will ask for permission to post to your Facebook wall. Click "Allow."
Step 5
Login to your Twitter account and post a new tweet. Your tweet will show up on your Twitter page and your Facebook wall.
Tip
- To stop Twitter from posting to your Facebook page, open the Twitter app. Underneath "Your Facebook & Twitter accounts are connected!," click on the "Want to disconnect your Twitter and Facebook accounts?" link. The Twitter app will ask for confirmation. Click "Okay."
Warning
- Tweets cannot be edited once they are posted. If you made a mistake, you will have to delete the tweet and post it again.
