If you live or work where you believe someone might be listening to your T-Mobile voice mail without permission, you may want to change your password. When setting a password for voice mail, many people tend to inadvertently use a series of numbers that is easy for others to guess, such as their birthday. You can change your password to something more secure from your computer as long as you can sign in to your T-Mobile account online.

Step 1

Go to the T-Mobile website, and click "Login/Sign Up" next to "Your Account," located at the top of the page (see Resources).

Step 2

Type your T-Mobile cell phone number in the first box, then your account password in the second. Click "Log In."

Step 3

Click on "My Account," then select the "Voicemail settings" link. You are asked to input your current voice mail password, as well as a new one. When finished, click "Save" to save your changes.

Step 4

Log out of your account, especially if you are using a public computer or one multiple people have access to.

Tip

  • If you want to change your password via your cell phone, dial "123," then press "*." Press "5" and "1." Enter your current password at the prompt, then enter a new one.
