The Samsung Behold supports a password function for security-conscious users that protects the phone from unauthorized access. Your four- to eight-digit password prevents anyone from using the Behold to make calls or access your data. If you have a password set on the Behold, changing it regularly is good practice for increased security. Some phone features require a PIN or PIN2 code for access, and you can change these numbers as well.

Change the Password

Step 1

Tap "Menu | Settings | Phone Settings | Security."

Step 2

Tap "Change phone password." Type your current password.

Step 3

Type a new password in the New Password box, and then tap "Confirm."

Step 4

Type the password a second time and touch "Confirm."

Change PIN or PIN2

Step 1

Touch "Menu | Settings | Phone Settings | Security."

Step 2

Tap "Change PIN code" or "Change PIN2 code."

Step 3

Type your current PIN or PIN2, and then enter a new PIN or PIN2 code.

Step 4

Tap "Confirm." Enter the PIN or PIN2 code again and tap "Confirm."

Tip

  • Your phone's SIM card may not have a PIN2 code; if it does have one, your phone service provider should have informed you of the code. If you've forgotten your PIN2 code, contact your service provider for assistance.
