A Windows user domain password is used for access to any Windows domain or network where passwords are required. Changing a user's domain password is simple, however the user must be logged in as a computer administrator.

Step 1

Click the "Start" menu.

Step 2

Click the "Control Panel" option.

Step 3

Scroll to "User Accounts" and double-click it to open the User Accounts menu.

Step 4

Select the "Advanced" tab.

Step 5

Click "Manage Passwords" if the computer is currently connected to a domain or network. If the computer is not currently connected to a domain or network, click the account name to be changed and click "Manage my Network Passwords."

Step 6

Click the entry in the domain that requires a password change and then click "Properties."

Step 7

Click "Change" and enter the required information, as well as the new password.
