With the release of the iTunes Store and App Store, Apple revolutionized the way digital media and applications were distributed. Every iPhone that accesses these stores is tied to a specific iTunes account, and all the purchases, personal information and billing information associated with that account is tied to the iPhone. If you want to change the iTunes account associated with your iPhone, you can do so in a few simple steps.

Step 1

Tap the "Settings" icon on the iPhone's home screen, then the "Store" option.

Step 2

Tap the "Sign Out" button to sign out of the iTunes account currently being used with the phone.

Step 3

Tap the "Sign In" button, enter the account information for the new account you want to use with the device and tap the "OK" button. When the account finishes signing in, you have successfully changed the iPhone's iTunes account.

Tip

  • If you do not already have another iTunes account to use with the device, you can create a new one by tapping the "Create New Apple ID" button instead of the "Sign In" button and entering all the required information.
