For most documents, the Amazon Kindle uses a default contrast to display the text and lacks the ability to change the contrast. However, since the text in a PDF is actually an image of the text, the Kindle treats it differently. If you have a PDF document on your Kindle, you do have the option to change the contrast of the text.
Step 1
Click a PDF document in the Home screen to open the document.
Step 2
Press the "Aa" button on the keypad.
Step 3
Highlight a contrast option and click on it. The Kindle has five contrast options, from lightest to darkest.
Tip
- If you have problems reading other documents on the Kindle because of the contrast, adjusting the font size or type might help.
