Your Panasonic DVD recorder gives you an all-in-one solution for recording video onto disks, playing MP3s, managing memory cards and editing photos. The device enables you to record video automatically or schedule recordings in advance. To set up a scheduled recording, you need to input the date, time and time zone settings into the DVD recorder. The device prompts you to enter this information when you first set it up, but you can also enter it at any time from the Clock Settings screen.
Initial Setup
Step 1
Press the "DVD Power" button on the DVD recorder to turn the device on.
Step 2
Press the up or down arrow button to select your language. Press the "OK" button.
Step 3
Select an aspect ratio and press "OK." Select "On" or "Off" on the Quick Start Function screen, then press "OK" again.
Step 4
Select "Yes" on the Set Top Box Control Settings screen if you control the DVD recorder with your set top box. Otherwise, select "No." If you select "Yes," enter your set top box settings on the following screens to access the "Set Clock Manually" screen. If you chose "No," you will automatically go to the "Set Clock Manually" screen.
Step 5
Press the left or right arrow button to select the "Hour" field. Press the up or down arrow button to change the hour. Move to the "Minute" field and press the up or down arrow to set the minute. Repeat this process for the "Date" and "Time Zone" fields.
Step 6
Press "OK" to confirm and set the time.
After Initial Setup
Step 1
Press the "Setup" button on the DVD recorder when the device is in idle mode.
Step 2
Press the up or down arrow button to highlight "Setup." Press the right arrow button to highlight "Clock Settings," then press "OK."
Step 3
Press the left or right arrow button to highlight "Hour." Press the up or down arrow button to select the hour. Highlight "Minute" and use the up or down arrow button to select the minute. Repeat the process for the "Time Zone" and "Date" fields.
Step 4
Press the "OK" button to confirm and return to the main menu.
Tip
- If you connect the DVD recorder to a Panasonic Viera television, the device acquires the date and time from the TV.
