The Wordpress platform has taken the blogging world by storm since its inception in 2003, winning users over with easy-to-use features and hordes of customization options. A powerful engine hides behind Wordpress's accessible front, and designers can also use this open-source tool as a robust content management system for traditional websites. No matter what you're doing with Wordpress, the name of your blog holds tremendous importance: it's one of the first things both readers and search-engine spiders see on your website. The Wordpress platform lets you quickly change your blog's title in the administrative dashboard.
Step 1
Click on the "Site Admin" or "Admin Login" option on your Wordpress page to sign into your Wordpress blog's administrative dashboard. Enter your user name and password, then click the "Login" button.
Step 2
Select the "Settings" tab from the options running down the left-hand side of the screen to open the "General Settings" page.
Step 3
Delete the text in the box next to "Site Title." Type your blog's new name into this space.
Step 4
Change the text in the "Tagline" box to alter the blog's subtitle.
Step 5
Click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page to finish changing your blog's name.
