How to Block Unwanted Web Pages From Popping Up

by Aramenta Waithe

Pop-up windows are common in advertising on the Web. Advertisers use pop-up windows with the idea that, because the user must physically act to close the window, they will be more likely to view the advertisement without ignoring it. However, many users find pop-ups distracting and bothersome. To help with this problem, modern Web browsers include pop-up blockers. Enable the pop-up blocker in your Web browser to prevent pop-up advertisements from appearing.
