Although the Samsung Captivate smartphone comes with a built-in camera to take pictures, you can also add photos from your computer to a memory card installed in the phone. Adding photos from your computer also allows you to share photos with family and friends via multimedia messaging. Uploaded images also can be used as home screen wallpaper, a customization preference that personalizes your phone. Adding photos to the Samsung Captivate can be done quickly using a high-speed USB connection.
Step 1
Insert a microSD card into the card slot on the Samsung Captivate and connect the phone to the computer using the USB data cable that came with the phone.
Step 2
Select the "Mass Storage" option that appears on the phone's screen.

Touch "Connect storage to PC."
Step 4
Select the "Open folder to view files" link on the AutoPlay window that appears on your computer's screen. This will launch a window that will display the phone's hard drive.
Step 5
Double-click the "DCIM" folder. Drag photos from your computer and drop them in the DCIM folder.
Step 6
Right-click your phone's removable hard drive from the left pane in Windows Explorer when you finish and click "Eject."
Step 7
Disconnect the USB cable.

- You can also enable Mass Storage mode by selecting "Settings | Applications | USB Settings | Mass Storage."
