Although the Samsung Captivate smartphone comes with a built-in camera to take pictures, you can also add photos from your computer to a memory card installed in the phone. Adding photos from your computer also allows you to share photos with family and friends via multimedia messaging. Uploaded images also can be used as home screen wallpaper, a customization preference that personalizes your phone. Adding photos to the Samsung Captivate can be done quickly using a high-speed USB connection.
Insert a microSD card into the card slot on the Samsung Captivate and connect the phone to the computer using the USB data cable that came with the phone.
Select the "Mass Storage" option that appears on the phone's screen.
