While MySpace provides tools to seamlessly add music from their own music library, it is often unclear about how to add songs from your own personal files. It is possible to insert common music file formats, such as MP3 and WAV, by entering HyperText Markup Language (HTML) on your page. As a result, you can include the songs on any MySpace location, such as your profile or blog, as you choose. With your own personal music file, add your own music to your MySpace pages.
Step 1
Place your personal music file on a free Web host like FileFactory or MediaFire (see Resource section). Click the "Upload" or "Browse" button to select your file from your computer and follow the prompts to continue adding (uploading) your music to the server. Make a note of your music file location (URL address), which displays after the upload.
Step 2
Log in to your MySpace account and access the area where you want your music to appear. Click the "Home" menu to add your file to an area like your blog or bulletin. Alternately, click the "Edit Profile" link under the "Profile" menu to add the music to your profile page.
Step 3
Type in the "embed" code that inserts the music as follows:
<embed src="" />
Step 4
Enter your file's URL address from Step 1 in between the quotation marks of the "<embed>" tag. For example:
<embed src="http://www.urladdress.com/music.wav" />
Step 5
Click the "Save" button when done.
