Adding a line to your existing Verizon phone plan does not have to be a daunting, difficult, dreaded task. Customer service representatives are available by telephone 24/7 to help answer any questions you may have in regards to your Verizon service plan. Their purpose is to ensure than any needs or concerns are addressed efficiently and succinctly to keep your interactions with Verizon as smooth as possible. If you feel that your needs are not being met, department supervisors are there to help you.
Step 1
Dial (800) 922-0204, or you can dial *611 from any Verizon cell phone.
Step 2
Listen to the recorded message and enter in your Verizon cell phone number to bring up your account.
Step 3
Follow the prompts to speak with a customer service representative and request an additional phone line.
Step 4
Ensure that you determine the number of allowed minutes per phone line and that you set the permissions for the additional user. Other service options (data package, MMS text messaging, mobile to mobile calls, etc.) can be added to each line at this time.
Tip
- Ordering a cell phone online will, at times, allow you to take advantage of lower prices. You can also find used cell phones on websites such as Craigslist.com and your local yellow pages website if you prefer to go that route. Ensure that the phone you purchase, if you choose to buy used, is compatible with a Verizon cell phone plan. You will have to order a sim card to go with the phone.
